The Addison Burnet Group, Inc. is a small group of very experienced professionals who specialize in electronics applied to transportation applications. We comprise some of the founding fathers of electronic toll collection and traffic management (ETTM), management of commercial trucks, or commercial vehicle operations (CVO) and using electronics to control truck movements and safety at ports of entry. We also have strong expertise in back office operations related to ETTM.
Our core team has been working together since 1992 in the ETTM and electronic CVO arenas. Today we focus on ETTM, access security, HOT lanes, TOT lanes and a number of related applications. Our business philosophy is to help our customers make technology work for them.
We are organized more like a team of surgeons than a large matrix engineering organization or classical consulting company. Depending on the project, we call in specialized expertise based on tailored requirements. Technology management consultants that have expertise in project management, operations, software, systems engineering, systems testing or experts in specialized equipment might all be used on different phases of a project. On the other hand, many projects do not call for one or more of these specialties. We only apply the expertise that is needed to satisfy our customers' requirements. And we only apply that expertise during the phase(s) of a project when the expertise is required. That way our customers only pay for what they need, when they need it.
